Why do we need a large breed puppy formula?
- Large and giant breed puppies grow tremendously during their first 2 years of life
- This growth should be controlled by restricting fat and calories
- Rapid growth leads to bone and joint problems
- Controlled calcium levels (below 1.5%) are also critical to encouraging normal growth
